- SABS will prepare an annual supervision contract if the factory inspection is passed;
- Two auditors will conduct a random review each year, and the cost of annual supervisory audits and testing will be specified in the contract;
- Two auditors will take samples back to the laboratory;

South Africa’s certification is divided into two types of certification:
- The first type of application is to apply for a letter of authority (LoA) and certificate of conformity (CoC), which is mandatory for South Africa’s imports, and this certification process is not allowed to label SASB mark on the label of products, such application do not require factory inspection.
- The second type of application is based on the first type of application, and can be applied for the use of SABS mark. The use of the mark requires a series of factory inspection procedures, and will cost a lot. Annual fees and factory inspection fees must be paid every year to use the mark.
