1. C-Tick Certification
C-Tick certification is administered by the Australian Communications Authority (ACA), which is the government agency responsible for regulating electronic communications in Australia. To obtain C-Tick certification, manufacturers need to submit their products to a testing laboratory that is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA). The testing laboratory will conduct a series of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency (RF) emissions tests to ensure that the product meets the relevant standards.
C-Tick certification is just one type of certification that's required for electronic products in Australia. There are other types of certification, such as the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM), which is required for products that are sold in both Australia and New Zealand.
2. More about C-Tick certification
In general, any electronic product that emits RF energy or operates in the electromagnetic spectrum needs to be certified. This includes products such as mobile phones, televisions, computers, and other consumer electronics. It also includes products used in industrial settings, such as medical equipment, industrial control systems, and power generation equipment.
